As a measure to remove the overhead of managing 2 separate wireless infrastructure (CDMA and iDEN), Sprint Nextel is predicted to sell of its iDEN unit (potentially to a government entitiy) for servicing public safety. As an outcome arrangement, Sprint Nextel may remain as outsourced/contracted professional services to manage the infrastructure.
