TUAW received a tip that Apple will announce the next version of Mac OS X, 10.6, at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) next week.

Mac OS X 10.6This is a prediction that it will be previewed, either to the press or to developers under NDA, at the WWDC (June 9-13).

If it is shown to developers under NDA, no details will likely be made available to the publc. However, the showing of the next iteration of the Apple OS is all that is needed for this prediction to be judged favorably.

Will it, or won't it?

My guess would be that this will be previewed to developers under NDA, as has been done in the past, not to the press. Would that suffice?

Yeah, that might be the case. Still, that should be good enough.
