IIT Chennai has welcomed the Indian portal of YouTube, saying it will benefit students, as Google has recently reached to an agreement with the IIT’s to allow free uploading of classroom lectures. The large bandwidth and huge storage of YouTube will encourage IIT’s and students to use the virtual technology for effective dissemination of knowledge in most cost effective manner. It will help develop high-end knowledge backbone in the coming days.
On the trends of IIT Chennai, other IITs can also sign the aggreement, The prediction says will other IITs signthe same with YouTube India to upload lectures, so as to reduce costs.
