Despite losing the Democratic Primary to the now President-elect Barack Obama, new exit polls/surveys have indicated that Hillary Clinton would have won the election with a wider margin against McCain. With Barack's resignation from the Senate effective November 16, Hillary becomes the most popular Democrat Senator in a house that has swung even more seats to the Democratic Party. There has been recent news that Hillary and Obama had some discussions possibly about this in Chicago and that Clinton records may be reviewed as part of the required process.

Prediction: Will Hillary Clinton be picked for the new Secretary of State? Hillary Clinton will have to accept the position for the favorable judgment. If a decision is not made by end of January 2009, a judgment will be delayed until which time the position of Secretary of State will be filled by Hillary or someone else.
