The trend for desktop machines has been and continues to be ever larger monitors. The largest iMac has long been the 24 inch models. The time is ripe for them to introduce a 30 inch model. They do offer a 30 inch monitor with their deskside apple pros but that's an expensive proposition. The single container iMac would be more affordable. The era of laptop domination is fading. Apple will respond to the new trend of going back to desktops with a netbook or tablet for mobility and more net based applications.
