2mil+ downloads of Nine Inch Nails' free album in first month

This is a quick one. Nine Inch Nails released its new album "The Slip" on Monday as a free download only. It's available in various formats, including MP3, with no digital rights management. The album comes complete with a PDF of artwork and lyrics.

Last month they released some songs of the previous album at five different prices, including a free download of some of the tracks. After a week, Nine Inch Nails reported more than 700,000 orders and downloads, and revenue of $1.6 million.

This is a prediction that "The Slip" will be downloaded more than 2 million times before 5 June 2008. betting will close on 20 May 2008.
