Judgment made on March 24, 2009: Facebook caved and announced that it will modify its latest homepage design. The community correctly judged this prediction - The Standard
Facebook fans are revolting against the site's latest redesign. The new Twitter-like look prominently displays your FB friends status updates at the expense of other features.
A Facebook poll of nearly 800,000 had 94% of users disliking the redesign.
Facebook is no stranger to user backlash. In late 2007, the company rolled out its Beacon advertising system, which showed what users bought on the web. Facebook fans protested the lack of privacy and Facebook ad partners pulled out from Beacon. After just a month, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg apologized to users and announced new modifications.
Prediction: Facebook will announce modifications to the new Twitter-like redesign by April 15, 2009.
