- employ and leverage online, new media, wireless, and Web 2.0;

For his consulting practice, Ken’s client list includes: large companies such as Sprint Nextel, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Goldman Sachs; foundations and association groups such as Consumer Electronics Association, Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, and National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship; smaller, venture-funded companies such as interactive hospital platform GetWellNetwork, alternative payment provider Pay Parade, and distributed entertainment provider Hillcrest Labs.
Before starting his e-commerce company and his consulting practice, Ken spent a decade in senior management roles. As VP of Marketing for VarsityBooks.com, he guided the online college bookseller to the #1 position of any college-oriented brand – as measured by brand awareness, online traffic, and sales – amid a highly competitive environment. He also led the company to its initial public offering. While head of national sales for Simply Wireless, he increased sales by 500% and reduced cost-per-order by 75% within two years by directing a complete e-commerce and backend technology overhaul, increasing call center productivity, and implementing a new marketing strategy. As VP of Marketing and Sales for Shop.org, the largest global e-commerce association, Ken became intimately familiar with the challenges facing online and multi-channel retailers and industry-wide best practices. Through these experiences, he developed an appreciation for the obstacles organizations face in understanding, implementing, and measuring new technologies and the challenges around developing truly scalable solutions.
Ken frequently engages in knowledge sharing efforts to ensure his insights and observations are delivered to management teams most able to utilize them. He is an expert consultant on technology and media for Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), the leading network of subject matter experts, where his performance has earned a top 5% ranking from clients. Ken has also been a featured speaker for the Consumer Electronics Association, the Linkshare Symposium, and other leading online and wireless organizations, to help their memberships bridge into online, wireless, or Web 2.0 territories.
Ken’s professional work is supported by formal education at top universities. He received dual masters degrees in business (MBA) and public policy (MPP) from Georgetown University and a BA from Cornell University. He received fellowships at each stop and graduated 2nd out of 259 students in his MBA class.
