Director, Affiliate Marketing

We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a strong management and direct marketing background to build, grow, and manage our Affiliate Program. This position will report to the Vice President of Marketing and is based in Dallas, TX (relocation is an option).

Responsibilities

- Hire, develop, and manage a Recruiter/Account Manager, a Campaign Manager, and any other staff required for the Affiliate Program.
- Manage all Affiliate Program management tools including selection of third-party vendor, contract negotiation and execution, ongoing management of vendor relationship, and monthly invoicing and payment for vendor
- Work with the Affiliate Program’s Channel Manager to recruit affiliates and then grow registrants, subscribers, and sales through affiliate’s sites
- Manage and write all communications to Affiliates, including several monthly newsletters, quarterly conference calls, and e-mails on an as-needed basis
- Plan and organize events to encourage Affiliates to generate higher sales through their sites’ promotions (may include an annual Affiliate Conference)
- Produce and analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports measuring the performance of the program
- Create, model, and execute incentive programs to help boost the Affiliate’s overall sales performance
- Manage the Affiliate education program, which includes creating and updating product data sheets and coordinating new product/feature launches
- Help resolve Affiliate issues and concerns as needed, including monitoring an Affiliate Forum (Web-based message board) on a daily basis
- Manage the weekly internal Affiliate Program status meeting meeting, which covers all current activities within the Affiliate Program
- Work with the company’s technology group on internal tracking and database issues to ensure high levels of data integrity

Qualifications

- BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or related field
- 5+ years work experience in either marketing at an Internet company or at an online ad agency (affiliate program management and/or online subscription business a plus)
- Extraordinary management skills
- Advanced and current knowledge of online marketing trends, analytics, and current events, particularly as they relate to affiliate program management
- Experience with BeFree, CJ, LinkShare, or other program management tools
- Strong analytical skills and proficient writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects
- Proven ability to improve ROI
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

This position will be responsible for the overall direction and growth of PGATOUR.COM. This includes maximizing the value of the site by serving the fan base and TOUR initiatives while managing the profit and loss of the department.

Responsibilities

Develop a quality overall site experience and products that satisfies and develops our fans.

Deliver and/or exceed sales goals via Corporate Marketing clients, direct sales and coordination with SportsLine sales.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree from a top tier school. Masters in Business Administration from a top tier school is preferred.

Experience: Must have experience in building and managing highly productive teams to superior results. Minimum of five to seven years working across functions with P/L experience. Must have business experience on the Internet; running a business unit is preferred. Functional experience in operations, product management, marketing, business development, sales and editorial are preferred. Sports or media business experience preferred.
