http://www.thestandard.com/node/109817/comments comments feed. en http://www.thestandard.com/news/2008/07/16/aol-offers-two-new-web-sites <p><!--paging_filter--> <p>AOL, a unit of Time Warner Brothers, has just launched two new specialty websites in a bid to increase its advertising revenue.</p> <p>Though AOL's portals (<a href="http://www.aol.com" title="www.aol.com" rel="nofollow">www.aol.com</a> in the US and for India, <a href="http://www.aol.in" title="www.aol.in" rel="nofollow">www.aol.in</a>) are more of a one website for all, the company is clearly targeting niche Internet audiences with the launch of Pixcetera (<a href="http://www.pixcetera.com" title="www.pixcetera.com" rel="nofollow">www.pixcetera.com</a>), a website for professional level photography; and Wallet Pop (<a href="http://www.walletpop.com" title="www.walletpop.com" rel="nofollow">www.walletpop.com</a>), a site for personal finance. The latter is focused on the US audience, while Pixcetera has a more universal appeal.</p> <p>The look and feel of these websites has been customized for the subject.
