Briefly: Facebook considers ConnectU lawsuit closed

In a statement sent to allfacebook, Facebook said it considers the ConnectU case closed after a judge in the case upheld the settlement agreed to earlier in the year. ConnectU had asked that the settlement be nullified based on new evidence, but the Judge disagreed and said ConnectU had "failed to establish that Plaintiffs made a misrepresentation during the negotiation."

Facebook also wanted to wish some -- perhaps sarcastic -- goodwill to the plaintiffs behind ConnectU who had accused Mark Zuckerberg of stealing their ideas when he worked for them at Harvard.

"We can now consider this chapter closed and wish the Winklevoss brothers the best of luck in their future endeavors.
