 <title>LTE trials begin in US by end of June 2009</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;!--paging_filter--&gt;With the announcement of WiMAX joint venture in the new Clearwire, there will be a push to accelerate LTE. 3GPP Rel 8 that covers LTE is subject to finalization by end of 2008. Vendors have already demo&#039;ed LTE based equipment (including chipset) that are not based on finalized requirement. It is predicted that carriers in US (i.e. Verizon Wireless, AT&amp;amp;T) will commence LTE trials by end of June 2009.&lt;/p&gt;
