Andreessen joins Facebook board

Michael Arrington finally had this confirmed as of June 29th, and several other sources have secured independant confirmation as well. The community was correct. --The Industry Standard

Kara Swisher has it that Marc Andreessen is on the receiving end of an appointment to Facebook's board of directors, one of two remaining slots that Marck Zuckerberg has the power to unilaterally fill. Other board members include Accel Partners’ Jim Breyer, Founders Fund’s Peter Thiel and the 'Berg.

This is a prediction that Andreessen will accept the appointment and join the Facebook board. Betting for this prediction will close on Monday, May 12th, but we will not make a judgment until we hear a definitive "yea" or "nea" on the issue.
