Oh Evony, you're such a tease, what with brazenly ripping off Civilization luminary Sid Meier, then wrapping his respected oeuvre in your tinsel-tawdry images of fake or stripping or occasionally flat-out stolen females. I'd ask "Have you no shame?" but even that's a rhetorical question wrapped in a riddle inside an utter redundancy.

Add porn stars--or images from the disc-sleeves that also appear on the covers of low-budget pornography--to the list of Evony's attention-grabbing stunts. The sleuths at Negative Gamer ran a reverse image search on the newest Evony ad--a picture of two girls in bikinis pouting and pawing at each other--and came up with an Amazon listing for Girls Playing with Girls 102. Needless to say, the latter's not someone's innocuous home video of children playing tag or hide-and-seek in the backyard.

No, this particular slice of commercial salaciousness--released in 2007--was directed by the pricelessly named Juicy Plum, and stars "gorgeous cuties" Emily, Jessica, Danielle, Brenda, Krissy, and Desiree.

To be fair, the girls on the video's cover and duplicated in the Evony ad aren't in the video, it seems, but rather the subject of this iStock photo, "two hot girls in the tropics."

"Free to play forever," "World's best web game," "Instant access, no installation," it all sounds so wonderful on your website, Evony.

So why can't you sell your game on its own merits, instead of resorting to titillating in such disturbing, gratuitous, completely game-unrelated ways?
