Electrical equipment manufacturer Eaton announced its fresh rebranding strategy recently, announcing the legacy Powerware and MGE Office Protection Systems as part of the Eaton brand in an effort to strengthen its identity in the power business globally.

As part of the transition, Eaton said, the aforementioned products will be identified as the Powerware and Pulsar series, respectively, helping the company consolidate its products, simplify brand management and operational complexity, and improve competitiveness through smarter marketing opportunities.

"Eaton is currently the biggest provider of power protection, distribution and management solutions in many countries, and the second largest player globally. Despite this, we are not fully recognized as Eaton in all of our markets as some partners and customers still refer to us via these two legacy brands. Now is the time to build awareness around one single Eaton brand," said Hoong Kuan Yin, sales director for Eaton's South East Asia region.

Eaton, a global technology provider of electrical components and power systems, serve the system needs of the data center, industrial, institutional, government, utility, commercial, residential, and OEM markets worldwide.

The move to rebrand products, it said, is part of the company's plan to integrate different industry-leading technologies into new products.
