I am also a user of Vista Ultimate. I just bought Windows 7 Professional which simply states on its box that it is an upgrade designed for Windows Vista. I was upset when I tried to install it as an upgrade to find that it is not possible to install Windows 7 Professional as an upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate but that it must be done as a clean install. I consider this quite misleading and as another indication that Microsoft is screwing those who bought Windows Vista Ultimate.
