Yahoo has completed a deal with Virgin Mobile to ensure it is the exclusive search engine for the telecommunications company's mobile internet platform.

According to Yahoo, its OneSearch has been tweaked to ensure mobile phone users will be able to access the sites relevant to their query from the first screen and without the need to click through hundreds of links to get the answer required.

Yahoo, which has similar deals with other telecommunications companies, will now be able to reach Virgin Mobile's four million customers.

Graeme Oxby, managing director of Virgin Mobile said the deal "ensures our customers have all the information they need at their fingertips".
