C-SPAN.org, Yahoo Finance, House.gov and Senate.gov all were unreachable just moments after Yahoo News broke that the emergency bailout would most likely fail. The market quickly shed hundreds of points, and Yahoo Finance stayed down for several minutes.
However, all of the sites except for House.gov recovered by mid-afternoon. That site was impacted by the many people attempting to use clerks.house.gov to access the vote count and other data.
