Emirates says delivery of its second Airbus A380 jetliner will be "pushed back by a few weeks," delaying service that had been expected to begin this month.
A representative for the Dubai-based airline, who declined to be named in line with company policy, says talks are under way with the European plane maker about the delivery date.
Emirates has ordered a total of 58 A380s, making it the world's biggest customer for the world's biggest passenger plane.
A French newspaper reported Sunday new production delays with the A380 and said the plane would fail to meet its delivery targets this year. Airbus spokesman Stefan Schaffrath said the company is sticking to its planned schedule.
