Patterson fell $.35 or 1.2 percent, to $29.88.
PerkinElmer rose $.27 or 1.0 percent, to $26.09.
Stryker rose $.54 or .8 percent, to $64.50.
Tenet Healthcare rose $.06 or 1.0 percent, to $6.07.
Thermo Fisher rose $1.06 or 2.0 percent, to $55.35.
Varian Medical fell $.57 or .9 percent, to $62.53.
Waters rose $2.26 or 4.0 percent, to $59.30.
