Spore was one of the most-hyped video games of the year, but now that gamers have their hands on it, the reviews aren't pretty. On the Amazon product page, 86% of the 255 user reviews assigned the game just one star out of five, with many citing Electronic Arts' "draconian" DRM/rental scheme:
