Quantcast, the web-audience measurement company, has nabbed a top Yahoo exec to help it figure out how to make money. Todd Teresi, former head of Yahoo's network business, worked for Yahoo for almost 10 years and had led the company's corporate development and global operations.
Teresi will help Quantcast generate revenue, though it isn't at all clear how the company -- which doesn't charge companies for its measuring services -- will make money. Quantcast CEO Konrad Feldman told AdAge the company will "provide the platform that will enable the industry to [tailor content to individuals]. And as we introduce those sorts of services, we'll charge for them."
Quantcast has raised $26 million, including a $20 million round last December.
