Apple apologies for MobileMe snafus

Apple sent out a note to all MobileMe/dotMac subscribers this morning, apologizing for the "bumpy" transition from DotMac to MobileMe. "Unfortunately, it was a lot rockier than we had hoped."

Apple also apologized for the confusion around "push". Apple had been saying that everything to do with MobileMe was "pushed" from device to device. Not quite: Like incoming email, changes made on the computer can take up to 15 minutes to sync with the "cloud" and other devices. Apple now promises to "stop using the word 'push' until it is near instant on PCs and Macs, too." Presumably, this means Apple is working on a real "push" solution for computers connected to MobileMe as well, rather than a scheduled syncing schedule.
