This is totally busted. I unlocked my current iPhone to use on TMobile and I would consider paying the $525 price for a unsubsidized 3G phone so that I can do the same thing. If they get the full price for the phone, why would they care enough to take steps to keep the *unsubsidized* phone tied to AT&T? AT&T is out of the loop in that case and Apple gets the full price for the device. What am I missing?
