Disney opened its new attraction at Disneyland this week: the Innoventions Dream Home. The attraction, a joint effort between Disney, Microsoft, HP, Life|ware, and builder Taylor Morrison, allows a limited number of visitors in at a time to experience a home of the future, including a "magic mirror" that projects an entire outfit (including hair and accessories) on the user's "reflection," including scaling to the person's actual body shape and movements, and a kitchen counter that recognizes ingredients as they are placed on it, and suggests recipes.

Featured at the Innoventions Dream Home is a Microsoft Surface dining table. The Surface has made news recently for its presence at AT&T stores in San Francisco and four other locations, but eHomeUpgrade had a correspondent at the grand opening of the exhibit, and recorded a video of how the Surface would work as a table at home. It features photo sharing capabilities, instant downloads from portable devices, built-in puzzles for entertainment, and drawing features. Objects embedded with special RFID tags can be placed on the table to activate particular functions, including a video puzzle feature.

More information about the Innoventions Dream Home can be found at the attraction's web site or Disneyland's information page.
