don't kid yourself, this is illegal too. just because the government hasn't gotten around to it doesn't mean it's not illegal. here's the equation. person puts up money, then plays a game of luck (as the government believe poker is) for a chance to win money. that's gambling. all the 'noise' around that equation doesn't matter. it's the reason mcdonald's has to say 'no purchase necessary' to play their luck-based promotions. if sites like these could show people are mainly paying the money for the entertainment and not to win the prizes, they might have a chance (longshot) but how will they win that argument when there are dozens of freeplay applications (including from the big poker gambling sites) available without a subscription? they can't. in fact, people are paying to win the prizes so it comes down to the same thing...if poker is gambing, this is gambling. if not, it's not. it's only a matter of time until the government turns it's eye toward these sites and bursts their (and apparently now some 'smart' money) bubble.
Bit misleading as Pureplay does not own their software. They make no mention of NLOP, http://www.nlop.com who also run a fre to play site. Their software is far superior and better game experience.
