@TIS, this prediction has come true. It has fulfilled 3 of 10 listed ways for revenue.

1) Charge for it and 2) Advertising (both already implemented)
Exectweet where Twitter charged Microsoft for the service and for the ads.

7) Pro version (announced but not yet implemented)
Pro accounts

Saw so many versions of Twitter's business model (expert) advice out there. Would love to see a prediction on what the right business model for Twitter would be. I am sure it's a combination of many. Here is an interesting survey from Abrams Research suggesting that business should pay for Twitter services http://tinyurl.com/dlhh53

Twitter reveals a business model by June 30, 2009?

Judgment made on March 26, 2009: Twitter has started charging for advertising with ExecTweets and announced plans to charge for premium accounts. This prediction came true, which the community got right. -- The Standard

Twitter is the hottest startup in Silicon Valley. The microblogging site hasn't made a dime yet, but that hasn't stopped the company from raising $35 million in venture capital funding. (Twitter has raised $20 million in previous rounds.)

With the new round of cash, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said the company has "big plans" to "begin building revenue-generating products." A recent post by Advertising Age lists 9 ways the company can make money.

Charge for it

Advertising

Create a contextual ad engine

Charge for analytics

Enable Mobile Payments

Create subscription based groups

A Twitter Pro version

Merchandising

Sell the company

Prediction: Twitter reveals a way to make money. For a favorable judgment, Twiiter must implement at least one of the nine listed above or create a new model by June 30, 2009.
