Official iPhone tethering by Macworld 2009?

Judgment made on January 12, 2009: AT&T did not make tethering support for the iPhone 3G available at Macworld. -- The Industry Standard

Original prediction: Since the pulling of NetShare, one of the major complaints over the iPhone 3G has been a lack of official tethering support (using the iPhone as a modem for a laptop).

AT&T currently supports the tethering of other phones, such as the Blackberry, for a monthly fee. At the Web 2.0 Summit on November 6, AT&T chief executive Ralph De La Vega made it known to the public that tethering option is coming soon (with no specific dates)
