We'll see if we can have our comedians sing "I'd like a Virgin" parody for our troops comedy Ticketforlove.com movie series..? We will have one scene where the Marines target practice at the un loving troops supporters ? (we may need Mythbusters help for the C4 comedy explosions..ha..ha.. ) We were called by the FBI because we SAID we would burn someones picture in our movie..? (a Hollywood lying jerk) like the U.S. flag by Washington.. What happened to our rights of expression anyways..? Why hasn't the FBI caught Bin Ladin..? We are going after Bin Laden in our ESI: Movie..(they must be too busy busting the L.A. pot shops..) We got the msg last week..from EA.. very scary!!!! Undercover cops are now busting the homeless in ATL for asking for food money..? Can't wait to see that on cops..! They must be proud to solve such a crime!

If they are after a section of EA as small as The Sims On Stage, I have to wonder what else they are looking at.

Let me just guess that the RIAA put their sights on EA Games now? The RIAA is nothing more than a rabid dog trying that needs to be put down by the courts.

Is the RIAA targeting the Electronic Arts-owned Sims karaoke site?

Muxtape is currently shut down. Pandora is claiming it may go too. Both sites are social applications for playing, and sharing music, and while users are certainly missing both sites, neither site appearing in the RIAA's or SoundExchange's crosshairs is much of a surprise.

What is a surprise, however, is that licensing issues have affected even smaller sites. Launched in beta last fall, The Sims On Stage is an Electronic Arts (EA) site that lets users submit video or audio files of karaoke performances, which other users can then rate and comment on. Users of the site received an email today alerting them that some of their webcam performances "will no longer be available" and that other songs will no longer have a video option available for recording.

EA offered no explanation of the changes other than "a recent development with song licenses."

More news, commentary, and predictions from The Industry Standard:
